Refloating and wreck removal is a complex and challenging operation that requires careful planning and execution. It is a dangerous, costly, and environmentally sensitive operation that can be complicated. However, our experienced team takes the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our personnel, minimize costs for our clients, and protect the environment. By addressing the concerns and difficulties involved, we are able conduct marine salvage wreck removal safely and efficiently.

The Process

As marine salvors, we use the best technologies at our disposal to determine the location of wrecks. We then develop a comprehensive strategy for accessing and removing the wreck, taking into account its size, type, location, and depth. The final step is to implement the procedures we have determined to remove the wreck from the water in a safe and efficient manner.

To execute the process we use a variety of technologies to determine the location of wrecks, including side scan sonar, Mesotech, GPS and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV’s).

Once we know where the wreck is, to gather the remaining essential information we use highly skilled divers and ROV’s to survey the wreck.

Our dive teams consist of the most skilled and experienced salvage divers in the industry. They excel in demanding conditions.

The method we use to remove the wreck will depend on its size, type, location, and depth. Removal operations are supported by an inventory of specialized salvage equipment. This includes 300 Ton Chain Pullers, Offshore Crane Barge (150 Ton to 450 Ton), Roller Bags (25 ton to 300 ton) Guillotines, Diamond Wire Saws and an assortment of additional special equipment. We may cut the wreck into pieces, lift it whole, or tow it to a nearby port.

Depending on the results of information we gather, we may cut the wreck
into pieces, refloat the casualty, or lift the vessel in partial pieces or as a
whole, to tow or dispose of it in accordance with State, local, and Federal
guidelines.
